Happy Birthday: Minimum Wage, Overtime
This week is the 80th birthday celebration for the Fair Labor Standards Act that brought minimum wage and overtime to the American worker.
The U.S. Department of Labor also reminds us about the PAID program (Payroll Audit Independent Determination), which expedites resolution of inadvertent overtime and minimum wage violations without litigation, and ensures employees promptly receive the wages they are owed. The PAID Program was announced on March 6, 2018, as a six month pilot program.
